J L Gili

Born in 1907, J.L. (Joan) Gili lived in England from 1934. A scholar, translator, publisher and bookseller, he ran the Dolphin Book Co. in Oxford for many years, and was well known as the translator of Lorca's Selected Poems and of the Catalan poet Josep Carner's NabA-. He died in 1998.
