JL Herald grew up in Canberra, Australia and has a Bachelor of Social Sciences from the University of Canberra. The mother of six children, she currently still has three at home along with her 2 cats, Sox and Eevee, and her beagle Sherlock.Her first book toxic/empathy was published in 2024, and she re-published her great (x4)-grandfathers Alexander Herald's poetry book Amusements of Solitude in 2024.
