Ingrid Hall, like many authors, knew that she wanted to be a writer from a very early age. However, it was the sudden passing of her father in 2011 that was the driving force which led her to be the accomplished author that she is today. In fact, death or near death has played a very strong role in her life, and it was her Near Death Experience that was the inspiration behind The Tunnel Betwixt... Her mother died from Ovarian Cancer, making Ingrid realise that there wasn't enough awareness about the disease. Ovarian Cancer: Two Women, Two Continents, One Disease tells the story not only of Ingrid and her mam but also Deborah Davidson. (Another warrior who fought bravely to the very end). Ingrid was diagnosed with Endometriosis over twenty years ago and when she went to visit Claire Smith and her amazing Endo Warriors in Fife, Scotland in 2016, Ingrid was amazed (and saddened) by how little things had progressed. This triggered, Endometriosis: Our Pain is Real, a collection of real life experiences. She also set up and runs a website aimed at raising awareness of Vulva Cancer. ... She would LOVE to hear from anyone able to spare a couple of hours each month to help raise awareness of this disease! See less
