Ilya Prigogine
Prigogine received the 1977 Nobel Prize for chemistry for his contributions to nonequilibrium thermo-dynamics. He holds a PhD from the University of Brussels, where he is Director of the Solvay Institutes of Physics and Chemistry. He is also Director of the Center for Statistical Mechanics and thermo-dynamics at The University of Austin, Texas.
