John M. Scheb, II, was born in Sarasota, Florida, in 1955. He attended the University of Florida from 1974 to 1982, receiving the B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in political science. He is now Professor of Political Science and Chair of Legal Studies at the University of Tennessee, where he teaches courses in criminal law, constitutional law, civil rights and liberties, administrative law, and law in society.
