Heidi Elizarraraz is renowned for her gift of inspiring and nurturing unwavering faith in others. Heidi pursued higher education at the University of California, Santa Barbara, graduating with a double major in Spanish and Communications, complemented by a minor in Latin American Studies. Her thirst for language and culture led her to Granada, Spain, where she immersed herself in Spanish.Little did she anticipate that her path would lead her to Mexico as a missionary. In 2003, during a transformative mission trip to the orphanage formerly known as Rancho De Sus Niņos, Heidi experienced a profound encounter with God. His call into full-time ministry in Mexico marked the beginning of her extraordinary journey. What began as a commitment of one year has blossomed into two decades of dedicated service to Him.It was at this orphanage that she crossed paths with Daniel, her future husband. In 2005, they were married, and just two days after their wedding, they embarked on a remarkable venture, founding Open Arms Childcare Ministries in the quaint pueblo of La Mision. Armed with only $1, abundant faith, and a plethora of fears, they embraced Jesus' call to keep families together through no-cost childcare centers in Baja California, Mexico.Their dedication bore fruit with the opening of a second campus in Camalu in 2017, accompanied by the establishment of Open Arms Church, where they served as founding pastors. Heidi's pursuit of theological knowledge led her to return to school, traveling tirelessly to Tijuana once a month, culminating in her graduation as Summa Cum Laude.Despite her initial trepidation, Heidi discovered profound fulfillment in pastoral ministry, a testament to God's guiding hand. Together with Daniel, she oversees three childcare campuses, providing a refuge for vulnerable children, and has planted three churches in Mexico and Cuba.An esteemed bilingual speaker on the international stage, Heidi empowers audiences to embrace courage and wholeheartedly say yes to Jesus even if they are afraid. In this, her first book, she recounts her remarkable odyssey and inspires readers to embark on their own transformative journey. See less
