Hanne Kristensen, MD, PhD, is recently retired from her position as head of Clinical Research at the Centre for Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Eastern and Southern Norway, but is still affiliated with the Centre. She is a child and adolescent psychiatrist with more than 30 years of clinical experience. Her research interests have included developmental disorder/delay in childhood anxiety disorders in general and in social anxiety disorder and selective mutism in particular. Dr. Kristensen is one of the leading experts on selective mutism and social anxiety disorder in children. Her group was one of the first to establish an adjusted CBT protocol for children with SM and to show effect in a randomized controlled trial. See less
