Hannah Sternberg lives in Washington, DC, with an ill-fated succession of bamboo plants all named Beatrice. In 2009, she graduated from The Johns Hopkins University with a major in Film and Media Studies and a minor in Writing Seminars, feeling like the most unemployable girl in the world. Somehow, despite this ignominious start, she has worked for several years in the book business, as an editor and marketing professional for several major publishers. She is the co-founder and senior editor of Istoria Books, a boutique publisher of literary and genre fiction. In addition to writing, she spends her time reciting Proust front to back from memory, and trying to mix the perfect cocktail. One of those two hobbies is made up. Queens of All the Earth, Hannah Sternberg's first novel, was released by Bancroft Press in October 2011. Early reviews called it "exquisite" and "completely addicting." See less
