H Warner Munn
H. Warner Munn (1903-1981) wrote for Weird Tales magazine in the 1920s and '30s, and was a friend of H.P. Lovecraft. Munn gave up writing in the 1940s, preferring a more stable job that would provide for his family. After his children had grown up, he returned to writing, and his fantasy novel Merlin's Ring (1974) represents his magnum opus.
