Gus Malzahn
Gus Malzahn is the head coach at Springdale High School, which is one of the most tradition-rich programs in the state of Arkansas. In his first season at Springdale, his 2001 Bulldogs broke 12 offensive school record, and in 2002 he led them to the state championship game. Gus Malzahn is the head coach at Springdale High School, which is one of the most tradition-rich programs in the state of Arkansas. In his first season at Springdale, his 2001 Bulldogs broke 12 offensive school record, and in 2002 he led them to the state championship game. Malzahn began his coaching career in 1991 at Hughes High School. In 1994, he led the Blue Devils to the state finals, which had been their only appearance in school history. In 1996, he took the head coaching job at Shiloh Christian High School in Springdale, Arkansas. His compiled record at Shiloh was 63-7-1. In 1997, he implemented the hurry-up, no-huddle philosophy into his offense. For the next four years, the Shiloh Offense was one of the nations top yardage producers, averaging almost 7,000 yards per season. Coach Malzahn took Shiloh to four state title appearances and two state championships.
