Gregory Roper returned to UD as associate professor of English in 2000 and taught on the Rome Program (2003-5 and 2007-9). He also directed the high school summer Shakespeare in Italy program (2004-17). Andrew Moran, an associate professor of English at UD, was a Fall 1988 Romer, the last semester to be instructed by Jim Fougerousse on where to find the best bars. He taught at Due Santi from 2005 to 2007 and from 2014 to 2016 and is now the director of the summer programs Shakespeare in Italy and Classical Education in Rome.
