Giuseppe Marco Tina is a Full Professor in Power Systems at the University of Catania (UdC), in Italy. He completed his MS (1988) and Ph.D. (1988) in Electrical Engineering at University of Catania. Giuseppe Marco Tina is a Full Professor in Power Systems at the University of Catania (UdC), in Italy. He completed his MS (1988) and Ph.D. (1988) in Electrical Engineering at University of Catania. He completed industrial experience with Agip Refineries and ST Microelectronics in Italy, between 1993 and 1996. Prof. Tina teaches courses mainly for the Electrical Engineering MSc., and in 2012 was awarded the Diploma di Excelentia in teaching and research in power systems from University "Stefan cel Mare", Suceava, Romania). He has been Invited Professor at Aix-Marseille University and University Jules Verne Amiens, both in France. He is a member of IEA Task 60 on PVT systems and (until 2021) IEA PVPS IEA Task 15. He is the Author of more than 250 works published in international journals and proceedings, on power system analysis, distributed generation, photovoltaic system analysis and modelling, of which 40 are on floating PV, and is co-author of two books on floating PV technology.
