Gerlinde Berger-Walliser is Associate Professor of Business Law and Co-Director of EUROBIZ at the University of Connecticut School of Business. She teaches legal and ethical environment of business, international business law and corporate social responsibility and accountability. She studied law at the Universities of Bielefeld (Germany) and Geneva (Switzerland) and at the University of California Davis. She holds first and second German state examinations in law and a doctorate in law from the University of Bielefeld. Prior to joining the University of Connecticut, Dr. Berger-Walliser held academic positions in France and Germany and was a member of the German Bar. She is a frequent speaker at international conferences and guest lecturer at various European and North American universities. Her research has been widely published in leading U.S. and European journals, and she has authored multiple book chapters. Dr. Berger-Walliser is an executive board member of the French Academy of Legal Studies in Business, a founding member of the International Network in Proactive Law, an editorial board member of the Journal for Strategic Contract Management and Negotiation, and an articles editor for the American Business Law Journal.
