Gerald Dawe was educated at the University of Ulster, Coleraine, and the National University of Ireland, Galway. A Fellow of Trinity College Dublin, he is Director of the Oscar Wilde Centre for Irish Writing and senior lecturer in the School of English at TCD. Burns Visiting Professor at Boston College and Charles Heimbold Professor in Irish Studies at Villanova University, Philadelphia.
