George McCafferty

Sgt George McCafferty served two tours in Afghanistan. During his first, Operation Herrick 8 in 2008 - considered the year of the most bloody fighting of the entire war - he kept a diary on which this book is based. He is currently a firearms instructor in the Police (Civil Nuclear Constabulary).
