George Elliott Clarke

George Elliott Clarke is a renowned poet and scholar. Of Afro-Métis and Africadian (African-Nova Scotian) heritage, Clarke teaches African-Canadian Literature at the University of Toronto, a subject which he championed at Duke, McGill, and Harvard.
