Gene H. Bell-Villada

Gene H. Bell-Villada, born in Haiti and raised in Puerto Rico, Cuba, and Venezuela, is Professor of Romance Languages at Williams College. His scholarly writings include general-interest books on Borges and Garcia Marquez (both now available in expanded second editions) and the wide-ranging Art for Art's Sake and Literary Life (finalist for the 1997 National Book Critics Circle Award, and translated into Serbian and Chinese).
