Frances Hodgson Burnett
Frances Eliza Hodgson Burnett was born in Cheetham, Manchester, England, in 1849. At the age of nineteen, Burnett began writing to earn money. She is most known for A LITTLE PRINCESS (1905) and THE SECRET GARDEN (1911), two timeless children's books. Burnett passed in 1924, but her work lives on. After studying graphic design, she decided to switch paths and dedicate her time to her true passion: illustrating stories.
