Fong Chan, PhD, is a professor and director of clinical training(PhD Program) in the Department of RehabilitationPsychology and Special Education, University of Wisconsin-Madison. From 1995 to 1999, he also served as Director ofResearch for the Foundation for Rehabilitation Education andResearch, which provides research support for the Commissionon Rehabilitation Counselor Certification, the Certificationof Disability Management Specialists Commission, andthe Commission for Case Manager Certification. Dr. Chan is alicensed psychologist and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor.He is also a Fellow in the American Psychological Associationand a National Institute on Disability and RehabilitationResearch Distinguished Research Fellow. Dr. Chan has morethan 25 years of experience conducting applied rehabilitationhealth research in the topical areas of psychosocial aspects ofdisability, multicultural counseling, rehabilitation assessment, and evidence-based practice. He has published more than150 refereed journal articles and book chapters. He is also theeditor of two textbooks, Case Management for RehabilitationHealth Professionals and Counseling Theories and Techniquesfor Rehabilitation Health Professionals .
