Ethel Crisp Taylor is a Cherokee-Choctaw mixed blood, born in West Texas and grew up in Southwest Oklahoma. In the process of family research she found several members of the families had moved into Indian Territory . She also found she had thirteen family members that served in the Civil War. This led to the research of what had happened during the Civil War period in Indian Territory.
