Ercüuuml;ment K l ç is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Economics and International Relations. Ercüuuml;ment K l ç is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Economics and International Relations. Upon being recognized around the US as a promoter of better Turkish-American relations for over 30 years, Ercüuuml;ment K l ç became the first Turkish-American Washington D.C. NGO leader in US history to be invited to the White House by a US president. As a lecturer and promoter of Turkish history and culture, since the 1980s, he has been invited numerous times to all 50 US states, as well as Canada, Mexico, England, Germany, Holland, Switzerland, Austria, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan. As a member and President of ATAA (Assembly of Turkish American Associations, Washington, D.C.), and in collaboration with the Turkish Foreign Ministry and the US State Department, he has made formal state visits with the government officials in Germany, Austria, Bulgaria and Greece, and meetings with the presidents of Azerbaijan and Israel. During 1990s, K l ç has worked as an advisor to US Congressman Jim Moody, and has organized fact-finding missions for him to Azerbaijan to investigate the Nagorno Karabagh problem, and to Crimea, Ukraine to meet with the Crimean Turkish leaders to study the problems of Crimean Turks who were returning home after a 40-year exile in Central Asia.
