Enid Mumford is an Emeritus Professor of Manchester University, England and a Visiting Fellow at the Manchester Business School. Her research experience has included a year at the University of Michigan and a period at UCLA. She is also a member of the US Socio-technical Round Table. In 1983 she won the American Warnier prize for her contributions to information science. In 1996 she was given an Honorary Doctorate by the University of Jyvaskyla in Finland and in1999 she was one of four international academics to be given a Leo award for Lifetime Exceptional Achievement in Information Systems by AIS (Association of Information Systems) and ICIS (International Conference on Information Systems).
