Edwin Scroggins

Edwin Scroggins began his Electrical Engineering education in 1947 at Rice Institute (now Rice University). After spending 23 years working in the electronics industry (16 years with Texas Instruments), Edwin decided to change careers. Edwin Scroggins began his Electrical Engineering education in 1947 at Rice Institute (now Rice University). After spending 23 years working in the electronics industry (16 years with Texas Instruments), Edwin decided to change careers. To prepare himself to enter the field of Christian Education, he earned a Bachelor's degree in Biblical Education and a Master's degree in Adult & Continuing Education, both obtained while working full time to support his family. In 1978, Edwin joined the Dallas Bible College as a member of its faculty. He served there as Assistant to the President (writing proposals to gain grants from various foundations), as a classroom teacher (of writing and church publicity), and as an administrator and developer of Bible courses and study guides for the college's External Studies Department. While on the faculty of DBC, he was awarded an honorary membership in Delta Epsilon Chi, the Honor Society of The American Association of Bible Colleges. Since 1961, Edwin has lived in Richardson, Texas with Alma, his beloved wife of 61 years. See less
