Dr Edward Park (PhD. University of Texas at Austin, USA) is an Assistant Professor in Physical Geography at the National Institute of Education (NIE), Asian School of the Environment (ASE), and the Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He is developing a river research program titled Tropical Rivers in the Anthropocene in EOS, which aims to understand how rivers in the tropics respond to different natural disasters and human impacts. With his research focused largely on large rivers in Southeast Asia, Edward is leading multiple projects in the Mekong Basin. He has published several high-impact research articles in top journals including Nature, Remote Sensing of Environment and Science of the Total Environment. He is currently the national representative for the International Association for Geomorphologists (IAG) and is an executive committee member of the Association of Singapore Teachers (AST). He is also an editorial board member of Science of the Total Environment and Journal of Environmental Management. See less
