Edward Lanzer Joseph

Edward Lanzer Joseph (1792-1838) was a Trinidadian journalist and novelist. Born in England, he emigrated to Trinidad in 1817. Little is known about his life beyond his two major publications, Warner Arundell: The Adventures of a Creole and History of Trinidad , both published in 1838, the year of his death. For his work in fiction and nonfiction, Joseph is considered an important figure in early Caribbean literature.
