Ed Denning, MEd, LMT Ed Denning, MEd, LMT, taught for 26 years and has a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. As a teacher, he held additional certifications as a library/media specialist and a computer instructor. Ed has been a practicing licensed massage therapist in Ohio since 1993 and is involved with massage and bodywork education. He was president of the Ohio State Massotherapy Association in 1995 and was a founding member of the Ohio Massage Schools Council in 1999. Ed was selected to be on the Massage Therapy Advisory Committee for the State Medical Board of Ohio from 1999 to 2003, and the Committee for Insurance Issues for the American Massage Therapy Association from 2000 to 2003. He was the coordinator of the massage therapy program at Stark State College of Technology from 1998 to 2003, after which he was an instructor in the Massage Therapy Program at Stark State College of Technology. He has conducted workshops in coding every year since 1997. Ed has written and published works in the massage therapy field, including writing and publishing the first edition of The Medical Code Manual For Massage Practitioners in 1995 and several articles in national massage magazines. Ed is a member of American Massage Therapy Association, Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals, Ohio State Massotherapy Association, and Massage Focus Group. He is a life member of The American Association of Retired Persons, Akron Bicycle club, and the League of American Wheelmen. In Ed's spare time he enjoys traveling, walking, power boating, and bicycling. Ed has been a life-long resident of the Akron-Canton, Ohio area. See less
