Antonio Moreno Areces. 1975, New York, U.S.A. His love for tea began years ago while he was writing songs and stories in one of Prague's bohemian teahouses. In those quiet spaces he discovered a wide variety of teas from all over the world. He began to recognize them, understand them and enjoy the age-old wisdom contained in teaism. He delved deeper into his passion for tea when he began preparing it at home, sharing it with friends and learning to serve it in gong fu tea ceremonies. Upon traveling to countries where tea is produced, particularly Taiwan, he discovered organic farming and made tea with his own hands, understanding the importance of environmentally sustainable and organic tea. His respect for the Way of Tea led him to dedicate himself professionally to his greatest passion: today you can find him at Caj Chai Teahouse in Barcelona offering tea tastings, workshops, pairings and tea ceremonies. The Tea Cupper's Notebook is his first book. See less
