After the war he joined the London news agency as a staff photographer, eventually moving on to work in the film industry. As the British film industry contracted, he opened a studio in Greek Street in the heart of London's Soho, specialising in theatrical and film portraits. He met Pamela Green when she walked into this studio one day and asked if he took nude shots. As a freelancer, Webb worked on numerous British TV shows and films from The Sweeney to Casino Royale.
