He also authored Nursing Scope of Practice in 2021, which was revised, translated into Spanish, and published in 2022 as Ámbito de la práctica profesional de enfermería en América Latina. He received a PhD in nursing from the University of California, San Francisco, and a Master's of Business Administration from San Francisco State University. Prior to becoming a nurse, he taught business at San Francisco State University and supervised elections for the United Nations and other organizations in conflict zones. See less
