Donald G. Evans grew up in the Avondale and Cragin neighborhoods of Chicago's Northwest Side until moving to Downers Grove just before high school. He has lived as an adult in Wrigleyville, Uptown, and Old Town, and for the past 15 years settled in Oak Park.
