Don Bell

Don Bell has held jobs as a wilderness horseback ranger, tree service climber, construction worker, logger, sawmill worker, smokejumper, oilfield worker, aircraft loadmaster and paracargo specialist, ranch hand, tugboat deckhand/first mate, security guard and truck driver. He lived in Alaska for thirty years and has published several short stories, winning the People's Choice award for his story "North Country," Storyteller Magazine (Jan/Feb/Mar), 2013. Barge Notes is his first book.
