Dimitris Fatouros is Professor in Pharmaceutics at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki School of Pharmacy. Dimitris Fatouros is Professor in Pharmaceutics at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki School of Pharmacy. He holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology from the School of Pharmacy at the University of Patras in Greece. He subsequently held posts as a Post-Doctoral fellow at Leiden/Amsterdam Centre of Drug Delivery (LA/CDR), Research Assistant Professor at Danish University of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Senior Lecturer at School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Portsmouth University. His areas of research expertise cover additive manufacturing, mucosal delivery, nanomedicine and poorly soluble drugs. He has contributed over 180 publications in refereed journals and books. He has filled three national (granted) and five international patents. He has been Theme Editor in Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews "Personalized nanomedicine" (Editors, Vizirianakis and Fatouros, ADDR 2012 64:1359-62) and "Additive Manufacturing in Pharmaceutical Product Design" (Editors, Rantanen and Fatouros 2021 178:113991).
