A student of the sacred sciences since childhood, deTraci Regula explores the mystical through writing, dreams, and art. She has been a Priestess of Isis with the Fellowship of Isis since 1983. With David Harrington, she is the co-author of the upcoming biography of their friend Scott Cunningham, Whispers of the Moon. In addition to work in the animation industry on such secular epics as the animated version of Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, she also produced and directed the video programs Herb Magic with Scott Cunningham and Witchcraft: Yesterday and Today with Raymond Buckland. She has traveled to sacred sites in Turkey, China, Japan, and Britain, as well as the United States. When not writing, deTraci Regula practices Taoist painting and exploring the family geneaology. Named for her ancestor William deTraci, deTraci Regula comes from a long line of pagans and freethinkers. One of her ancestors was chastised by the local bishop for consorting magically with the horses, though what that means exactly has been mysteriously excised from the family histories. Another ancestor, a Protestant during the reign of the Catholic Queen, Bloody Mary, was dug up and burned as a heretic after his death because of certain comments he made in his last will and testament.
