Denise Morris was born in Colorado and has lived in Ohio since she was eight years old. She is a graduate of Ohio State University. She is married to her high school sweetheart and they have six awesome children together. Besides writing and illustrating children's books, she enjoys acting, dancing, designing children's clothes, learning foreign languages, and traveling. Her favorite thing to do is to spend time with her family. And yes, it is true-she loves warm chocolate chip cookies. Denise has had the opportunity to work in a variety of areas. She was a co-host for a LIVE television show. She has worked in youth ministry in both hired and volunteer positions for the past thirty years. She has directed drama in high school and various youth groups. Denise is also a movie actress and has been in 20+ full feature films. Did you know that Frankie's Strange Day at the Zoo is seen and partially read in the movie, The Reliant! She has also worked in education in private and public settings. She states, "The most important job of all is being a mother of six extraordinary children. This keeps me very busy and humbled." She continues, "Creating the Frankie series has been a blast.
