Denis Curti is director of the monthly "Il Fotografo" and artistic director of the "Casa dei tre Oci" in Venice, artistic director of the Photography Festival of Capri. Denis Curti is director of the monthly "Il Fotografo" and artistic director of the "Casa dei tre Oci" in Venice, artistic director of the Photography Festival of Capri. He founded the post-graduate Master of Photography in collaboration with NABA and Forma Foundation. Since 2009 he is a consultant of the Venice Foundation for the management of photographic heritage, founder of PICC (Photography Italian Culture Capital) and founder of Still (photography, showroom and gallery). Well-known international curator of exhibitions and photographic reviews, Curti is also author of books, photographic critic for magazines and newspapers, was for several years the director of the Contrasto Agency that published in Italy the works of the famous Magnum agency's photographers. In the past he has covered various positions as artistic director of the Photography Festival of Savignano sul Rubicone and of the International Biennial of Photography in Turin. For over 15 years he has been a journalist and photographic critic for Vivimilano and Corriere della Sera. Expert in the collectors' market related to photography and in the years 2002-2003 he was curator of the first photographic auctions of Sotheby's in Milan. From 1995 to 2002 he directed the Italian Foundation for Photography. In the 90s he directed the school of Photography of the European Institute of Design in Turin. See less
