Debra L. Her major research interests are in the area of human rights, global health, and gender issues in world politics. She is the author of U.S. Immigration Policy in an Age of Rights (Praeger 2000) and (co-authored with David E. DeLaet) Global Health in the 21st Century: the Globalization of Disease and Wellness (Paradigm Publishers, 2012). In addition to these books, she has published numerous articles and book chapters on a variety of topics, including gay marriage as a religious right, justice for children born of war, and sexual orientation discrimination in international human rights law.
