Debra J Hain, PhD, APRN, AGPCNP-BC, FAAN, FAANP, FNKF is a tenured Professor, MSN Coordinator: AGNP Concentration at Florida Atlantic University (FAU), Christine E Lynn College of Nursing (CEL), and a Nurse Practitioner (NP) seeing patients with or at risk of chronic kidney disease (CKD) at a free clinic serving a low-resource, uninsured community and at FAU, CEL Community Health Center and Hands of St. Lucie County. Dr. Hain retired from Cleveland Clinic Florida, Department of Nephrology in 2019 after 25 years of service. She has over 35 years of experience as a nurse and 20 years of that as an NP. Most of her expertise is in nephrology and care of older adults. More recently she has focused on palliative care for those with non-cancer life-limiting illness after working as a hospice NP for many years. See less
