Dave Madden is author of The Authentic Animal: Inside the Odd and Obsessive World of Taxidermy . His shorter work has appeared in Harper's, Prairie Schooner, The Rumpus, DIAGRAM, The Normal School, Denver Quarterly , and elsewhere.
