During his career he became a master storyteller to young children. Every story began the same way: "Once upon a time there was..." and the children would yell out, "a King." Every story had a moral or value associated with it. The stories making up Once Upon a Kingdom were finally written down and made into this book during the isolation of the COVID Pandemic. Rabbi Roberts is also a Fellow in Thanatology as certified by the Association of Death Education and Counseling and has done extensive work on bereavement and mourning. Rabbi Roberts has produced a video on teenage suicide entitled Inside I Ache that has had national distribution.
