Court Rossman first saw and built water bottle rockets, as an adult, while helping with Cub Scouts. Water rocket seemed like a great introduction to hand's-on rocket building. Court Rossman first saw and built water bottle rockets, as an adult, while helping with Cub Scouts. Water rocket seemed like a great introduction to hand's-on rocket building. He was impressed that there was a basic rocket to demonstrate the concept, and that the kids could build the rocket themselves. Court certainly learned himself as a volunteer from doing the activity. Court is participating in the emphasis on hands-on learning. Science kits are readily available these days, and that is great. He just wants to help that trend, so the next generation has practical knowledge and creativity. Court has a life-long interest in physics and science, and has a Ph.D. in physics, and works on rocket sensors through his day job. See less
