Surrounded by oil men, attorneys, and drillers in a community that produced two presidents and many national leaders and businessmen/women, Colleen grew up reading and writing stories of every kind. She wrote her first short story at age eight, and began her first handwritten romance on the bus at age fourteen. After college, when she married and was expecting her first child, she used a scrap computer to write her first romance. She sold it herself in less than a year to a major New York publisher, began a new career at twenty-six and has never looked back. She now has sold eighteen titles, has well over a million books in print and has won many industry awards and nominations for best storyteller, fairy tale romance, Kiss Hero (Romantic Times) etc. Her latest titles are e Kensington romantic suspense, a series about modern Texas Rangers: Foster Justice, Sinclair Justice, and in progress, Travis Justice.
