Dr. Clara Rellensmann is a cultural studies scholar and research associate at the Department of Architectural Conservation at Brandenburg University of Technology (BTU) in Cottbus, Germany. She has worked internationally in the cultural heritage sector for fifteen years. Dr. Clara Rellensmann is a cultural studies scholar and research associate at the Department of Architectural Conservation at Brandenburg University of Technology (BTU) in Cottbus, Germany. She has worked internationally in the cultural heritage sector for fifteen years. Between 2011 and 2016, Clara was a project coordinator and consultant at the UNESCO Offices in Bangkok (Thailand) and Yangon (Myanmar). Through her various engagements at the intersection of heritage preservation, science and politics she has developed both a thorough understanding and a critical historical view of heritage politics on a global scale which have informed the research discussed in this book.
