Chuck Ball grew up in North Carolina. After High School, he worked his way around the world on a Norwegian freighter as a deck hand. This is when he began keeping a journal and thinking about becoming a writer. When he returned to the States, he went to Elon University. After graduation he worked on the grave yard shift of a milk carton factory and completed his first hand written novel. "I first visited Key West many years ago. In 'Hemingway's Heist' I have tried to capture the wackiness of Fantasy Fest. The body art, the partying, the scooters, the cuban coffee, the rum, the weird and wonderful. Then take the reader to Eleuthera and Spanish Wells in the Bahamas which I discovered only about five years ago. These are rugged and remote islands and I just had to weave them into 'Hemingway's Heist'. "We first meet Rainy walking her pet iguana Iggy on a leash in 'Hemingway's Heist'. Her cameo grew into 'Key West Escape'. As a character Rainy is one of my favorites...she is such an island girl." 'Key West Escape' again takes place in these tropical locales. The action moves quickly as Rainy flees from a sociopathic killer. When Chuck is not on St. John, Eleuthera or Key West he lives very close to Wrightsville Beach, N.C. Chuck is working on his fifth novel; "Just Joe" which he hopes to finish soon. You can contact him at chuckballauthor@gmail.com See less
