He is the Vice President of Publishing and Creative Director at Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc., where he launched the ERB Universe series and created the character of Victory Harben, who has come to life in the pages of both prose fiction and comic books. Carey is the author of several books, including the novel Victory Harben: Fires of Halos; Swords Against the Moon Men, an authorized sequel to Edgar Rice Burroughs' The Moon Maid; Exiles of Kho; The Song of Kwasin (with Philip José Farmer); Hadon, King of Opar; and Blood of Ancient Opar . He has also written comic books featuring Burroughs' characters such as Tarzan, Dejah Thoris, Carson of Venus, Jason Gridley, and Gretchen von Harben. He lives in Southern California. See less
