Christine Hiskey
Christine Hiskey's interest in local history was partly inspired by childhood holidays at Burnham Overy Staithe near Holkham. After reading Modern History at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, she qualified as an archivist at Liverpool University before working for four years in the Durham County Records Office. In 1975 Christine Hiskey moved to Norfolk with her husband, and from 1977 began helping occasionally in the Holkham archives.
