His book credits include a novel, Bogie: Golf as it was, which deals with the lives of ancient golfers during the eighteenth century in St. Andrews, Scotland. As a golf historian, he often lectures on cruise ships. Mr. Hellman also has several short stories and articles to his credit. He teamed up with partner/illustrator Robert Tiritilli, to write a series of humorous sports cartoon books for adults. One of their goals was to put the "F" back into "fun" for children, so they developed a new sports concept called LuckySports, which are sports cartoon characters in the shape of sporting goods equipment that live in SportsLand. They have written 10 LuckySports books, along with producing CD-ROMs in their Adventures in SportsLand bully series, including two versions in Spanish using their LuckySports cartoon characters.
