Celine Parrenas Shimizu

Celine Parrenas Shimizu is Associate Professor in the Department of Asian American Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara, as well as a filmmaker and film scholar. She is the author of "The Hypersexuality of Race: Performing Asian/American Women on Screen and Scene" (2007), winner of the 2009 Cultural Studies Book Prize from the Association for Asian American Studies.
