Catherine Walker is a self taught chef who began cooking at young age. Catherine is allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, and eggs, so cooking at home has always been a part of her life. She began writing "Cook It Up: Delicious Recipes for Healthy Cooking" in 2016, an allergy cookbook with 70 of her original recipes and her own photography. She began writing "Cook It Up: Delicious Recipes for Healthy Cooking" in 2016, an allergy cookbook with 70 of her original recipes and her own photography. Her recipe, "Chili Shrimp and Rice with Mango Jalape�o Sauce," is featured in this cookbook. She hopes that her cookbook will inspire not only people with food allergies, but everyone to "Cook It Up" with delicious recipes for healthy cooking. Catherine has been a Teen Advisory Group Member at FARE (Food Allergy Research and Education Organization) since 2019 and works to spread food allergy awareness through sharing healthy allergy friendly recipes.
