Catherine Lampert
Catherine Lampert is an independent curator and art historian. She was Director of the Whitechapel Gallery when Peter Doig won the Artist Award and exhibited there in 1991; and again when the Whitechapel staged a retrospective of Doig's work in 1998. She wrote one of the two essays in the Doig monograph published in 2011, and another essay on his recent work in 2018. She is currently working on the catalogue raisonné of Lucian Freud's paintings.
