Carol Thomas is a Midwest girl raised with old-fashioned Midwest values, someone who never dreamed she'd be sharing the intimate secrets of online dating with thousands of strangers. When she moved to Arizona to attend college, she met and married a John Wayne look-alike who cherished her for more than fifty years. Carol's writing career began as the society editor of a small-town newspaper in Orange County, California. She also volunteered with local civic organizations, teaching them the basics of publicity and public relations. Carol became the first woman accepted by the local Toastmasters club, at that time a male-only organization. When Carol's family business triggered a move to the Palm Springs area, she showed her entrepreneurial streak through owning her own retail business for the next twenty-five years. She continued her love of writing by serving on the executive board of directors of her local business association for many years, promoting its many member businesses. Her published articles appeared in numerous trade magazines. She was the consummate family social director, raised three children and was a happily married grandmother when the unthinkable happened and her life forever changed. A few years following her husband's death she made the decision to reach out and find happiness through online dating. Carol's experiences, both good and bad, led to her decision to write this book in hopes of helping other struggling with new beginnings. She firmly believes it's "NEVER TOO LATE" to find a new relationship. See less
